TTT on CBC

We’re back, following some down time due to a collapsed server!  People find a variety of ways to spend their birthdays. Now that you all know that I ended up spending the evening of my recent birthday enduring ‘Sex and the City’ at the cinema, I can now attempt to redeem myself slightly by pointing you to the time I also spent that day with Nancy Durham from the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, helping in the making of a short piece for Canadian TV. I think it turned out rather well, and hope that I have, partially at least, attoned for my sins…

An Update on Transition Tales, Powerdown Training in School

Presenters filmingI have mentioned Transition Tales here previously, it is the work that Transition Town Totnes has been doing in our local secondary school, working with Year 7 students raising awareness about energy issues and doing visioning work about how a post-oil world might be. Over the last couple of months the Transition Tales team has done the Transition Tales work with all of Year 7, and in the following article, project co-ordinator Hannah Mulder gives an overview of the project.

Three Short Films About Transition in New Zealand

Transition is spreading through New Zealand like wildfire… Here are three short films which offer fascinating insights into some of what is beginning to emerge there.

This first film is about Waiheke Island’s Fabulous Fruit Tree Initiative, which is aiming to plant 20,000 fruit and nut trees on the island. Looks like they are off to a pretty good start…
